Horticulture and Gardening

One of the popular vocation among the residents is to take part in horticultural activities be it gardening, watering plants, pruning or plucking fruits. The residents love to spend their spare time in the garden in small groups where they communicate and exchange their feelings and thoughts with each other. At present we have chikoo, mango, cashew nut, jack fruit, mulberry and jamun fruiting trees that residents are free to look after and pluck fruit of their liking.

GO GREEN FARMING

We have recently started project for green farming to grow vegetables without using chemical fertilizer. An international agro expert has evaluated our plot of land and recommended pit farming to overcome water scarcity. Our residents have been very keen observers of the preparatory phase and rearing to participate in green farming.
