Nirdhar Initiatives
From life of stigma and bias to warm, supportive and independent living. Nirdhar is a place where independence and dignity is valued.
The ICPs interact among each other with their characteristic honesty, concern and caring nature. We find them extremely compassionate towards each other and always willing to help.
They enjoy outdoor activities and make full use of open/ garden space. They also welcome guests and take pride in showing their capabilities.

Arranging excursions and visits for ICPs to experience and explore the world at large.
A forum to discuss and share experience of care giving and identify opportunities for care & empowerment.
Local villagers use Nirdhar facilities for their ICP residents who are provided vocational training along with Nirdhar residents.
A simple guest house facility has been set up for parents / guardian to stay with their ICP. They are encouraged to share their time with residents.
We embrace an open policy of admission for ICPs.
